Welcome to Triware Networld Systems monthly Newsware, bringing you the latest in Information Technology. In this issue, we would like to continue last month’s introduction of a new framework of managing entire IT operations. This time, we are going to look at how Virtual Application works. We hear a lot about Virtual Server but Virtual Application? Yes, Virtual Application is going to really change how IT works, more so than Virtual Server in my opinion. As the competition heats up like the summer heat in California, Microsoft is quietly hammering away its own virtualization projects, yes, project(s). As you would expect the new MS Virtual Server 2008 will be closer in features of what their rival VMWare.  But what is less well known is their Application Virtualization project – SoftGrid!  Microsoft had been quietly Microsoftizing the product that could eventually change the software industry to new way of utility computing in a more service-orientated model.
