The PCM-151 series consists of a Master module controlled via RS-232 ASCII codes for one 15-Amp AC power outlet, and up to an additional (9) "satellite" modules which will also control an additional AC outlet. Each addressable PCM unit can be switched ON, OFF or Toggled remotely. This will allow you to take equipment off-line for a period of time or reboot the device: The PCM can even give you a status report for each module to poll current ON or OFF status.
The RS232 serial port interface of the PCM-151 also allows you to interface with EM1 Environmental Monitors thus allowing you to control power as well as monitor environment conditions such as temperature, humidity and leak detection. For example, you can now control power to an Air Conditioner, a fan a humidifier or even a heater for example.
This unit will need EM1 to work.
